MUMBAI: Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan is in for a stormy monsoon session of the state legislature with the Shiv Sena-BJP combine all set to question him about the overall breakdown of law and order in the state.
Home minister R R Patil too will be a major target of the Opposition attack during the three-week session, which is to begin on Monday.
Political sources say that the opposition plans to berate the state government for doing little after the 26/11 terror attacks.

Political sources say that the Opposition plans to demand that the government table the action-taken report on the recommendations of the Ram Pradhan committee, which was set up after the 26/11 attacks to take a comprehensive look at the security measures for safeguarding Mumbai.
Though the ruling Congress-NCP combine presented a united front at the recent Rajya Sabha by-elections, the Opposition has also mustered additional support during the same election. The Raj Thackeray-led MNS joined hands with the Sena-BJP against the Congress candidate. If the Opposition maintains this united front, it could put the CM and deputy CM Ajit Pawar in an uncomfortable position during the monsoon session.
With an eye on the upcoming civic elections, Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray has given his party MLAs and MLCs dossiers on the government failures and major scams in the state.
